Job Description
Our private dental practice is seeking a friendly, compassionate, and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team. We are committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered dental care in a welcoming and professional environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about preventive dentistry, patient education, and delivering outstanding clinical care. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and document clinical findings. Provide dental cleanings (prophylaxis), periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and preventive treatments. Take digital dental radiographs in accordance with Florida regulations. Screen patients for periodontal disease, oral cancer, and other oral health conditions. Review and update patients' medical and dental histories. Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and preventive dental care. Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive therapies as prescribed. Assist the dentist by communicating clinical findings and supporting treatment planning. Maintain accurate electronic patient records. Follow all OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and Florida Board of Dentistry infection control standards. Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms. Foster a positive patient experience through professionalism, compassion, and excellent communication. Qualifications Current Florida Registered Dental Hygienist license in good standing. Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program. Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification. Current certification to administer local anesthesia. Proficiency in taking digital dental radiographs. Strong communication, organizational, and patient education skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while providing exceptional patient care. Experience with dental practice management software is preferred.
