You will be responsible for providing thorough cleanings, patient assessments, and education, ensuring each patient receives personalized and compassionate care. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants, with precision and care. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to inform treatment plans. Assist during dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to pediatric and general dentistry needs. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow strict infection control procedures using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic setting. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical coding standards. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred. Experience working with pediatric patients and performing pediatric dentistry procedures is a plus. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care and communication skills. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records confidentiality and documentation review processes. Certification in dental hygiene from an accredited program; additional certifications in medical terminology or pediatric dentistry are advantageous.
