In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and education to promote optimal oral health. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your clinical skills while contributing to the overall health and well-being of our diverse patient community. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options. Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate patient information and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain detailed dental records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Monitor infection control protocols, including sterilization procedures and adherence to OSHA standards. Support pediatric dentistry cases by providing age-appropriate patient care in a friendly manner tailored for children and their families. Ensure all documentation review, medical coding, and recordkeeping are accurate for seamless clinical operations. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong background in dental assisting, chairside assisting, or similar roles preferred. Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and patient assessment confidently. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and documentation review processes.
