You will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assisting with patient assessments, and providing vital education on oral health. Your expertise will help ensure our patients receive comprehensive, compassionate dental care in a friendly and welcoming environment. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking medical history and performing dental examinations Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instruction Ensure strict infection prevention protocols are followed, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of instruments Take dental radiographs (X-rays) Review medical records and coordinate with healthcare providers to support comprehensive patient care Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA standards Experience Prior experience working in general dentistry or in a periodontal practice is highly preferred Proficiency with Eaglesoft or a willingness to learn Strong knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures is required Familiarity with infection control practices, including sterilization techniques and healthcare safety standards Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration Join our team as a Dental Hygienist where your skills will be valued, your growth supported, and your passion for patient care celebrated!
