Job Description

We are hiring a Registered Dental Hygienist for an assisted hygiene position in Kellogg, Idaho. This position is ideal for a hygienist who enjoys a fast-paced environment with strong clinical support and the opportunity to focus on patient care. Reasonable commute from Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, and Hayden (30-45 minutes). We are looking for someone available at least 2 days per week, with flexibility to build a larger schedule if desired. Sign on bonus of $5,000 Scrub reimbursement What You'll Do Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing in an assisted hygiene flow. Assess patient's oral health, record vital signs, review medical histories, and ensure HIPAA compliance. Take and interpret dental X-rays to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and healthy habits. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms using proper aseptic and infection control procedures in compliance with OSHA standards. Review, document, and maintain accurate medical records using EMR systems. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment and collaborate with the dental team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient care, and infection control protocols. Comfortable working in an assisted hygiene environment with steady patient flow. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft is essential for efficient record management. Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to educate patients effectively on oral health practices. Certification as a Registered Dental Hygienist from an accredited program is mandatory; licensure must be current according to state regulations.
