Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a dedicated Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic role, you will work closely with dentists and patients to provide thorough cleanings, assessments, and education, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for every individual. Your passion for dentistry and commitment to infection control will help uphold our high standards of quality care and patient safety. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to inform treatment plans. Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs (medical imaging), applying sealants, and assisting during restorative treatments. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Follow strict infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to safeguard patient and staff safety. Collaborate with the dental team in pediatric dentistry settings, providing specialized care for children and ensuring a friendly environment for young patients. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in dental office environments, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding to accurately document patient interactions. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient documentation review and record management. Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and dental assisting procedures like chairside assisting. Ability to assess vital signs accurately and recognize signs of medical emergencies or abnormalities during patient care. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively while demonstrating professionalism and compassion. Pay:
$38.00 - $42.00 per hour
