Responsibilities:
Ensure patients are at ease before examinations Properly sterilize dental instruments Conduct initial mouth screenings and review oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis Clean and protect patients' teeth (e.g., remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients on proper teeth care, demonstrating good brushing techniques Provide post-operation instructions to patients Take X-rays or dental impressions Assist dentists in selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases, including oral cancer Maintain documentation and charts for each patient Monitor suppliesSkills:
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills Patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Diploma in Dental Hygiene (preferred) Valid license to practice (preferred) One-Year in office experience (required)Job Types:
