Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team for a part-time role on Mondays. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and preventive services. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and foster positive patient experiences in a friendly, professional environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about dentistry, possesses excellent communication skills, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. This role comes with the potential for future hours and days if the fit is right. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote oral health. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe and effective treatment plans. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols and infection prevention standards. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dental care routines, and preventive measures tailored to their needs. Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring documentation review and proper coding. Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and equipment sterilization, to uphold HIPAA compliance and patient safety. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing electronic health records (EHR). Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dental care. Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining radiation safety standards. Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration. Familiarity with infection prevention management, healthcare infection control practices, and HIPAA regulations.
