Job Description
Perfect Smiles is seeking a skilled, patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team in Lenexa, KS. This role is ideal for a hygienist who is passionate about preventative care, patient education, and delivering high-quality clinical outcomes in a collaborative dental practice. What Success Looks Like in This Role The Dental Hygienist plays a key role in maintaining oral health, patient education, and overall clinical excellence.
Responsibilities include:
Performing comprehensive oral hygiene assessments, including charting dental and periodontal conditions, and accurately documenting findings in patient records Providing professional dental cleanings, scaling and root planing, and debridement procedures Applying fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventative agents Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, individualized home care plans, and the importance of regular dental visits Administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation as permitted by Kansas state regulations and practice protocols Assisting the dentist during examinations as needed Sterilizing and maintaining dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards Adhering to all HIPAA regulations and maintaining strict patient confidentiality Collaborating effectively with the dentist, dental assistants, and other team members to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care Qualifications & Skills Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Kansas Current CPR certification Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventative dentistry Excellent communication and patient education skills High attention to detail and strong clinical documentation abilities Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered approach Why Join Perfect Smiles?
