Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, provide oral hygiene education, and assist the dentist in various procedures. Office hours are M/Th 8-3 and Tues/Th 8-5 with one hour lunch on Tues and Thurs.Duties:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing
- Conduct patient assessments and review medical history
- Take dental x-rays
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care
- Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist
- Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and medical records accurately
- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure a safe and clean environment for patients
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive dental care
Qualifications:
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in [STATE]
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Proficiency in using dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, CAD)
- Knowledge of dental office procedures and terminology
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and OSHA regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
