In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your skills to perform thorough dental cleanings, patient assessments, and education while ensuring compliance with all safety and health regulations. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to tailor personalized care plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health. Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs (medical imaging), applying sealants, and providing post-treatment instructions. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in Eaglesoft. Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate with dentist and other team members in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry settings to deliver seamless patient care. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Proven experience in dental office settings, including familiarity with dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review. Proficiency in using dental software Eaglesoft for scheduling, records management, and billing processes. Strong knowledge of infection control standards, anatomy, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Ability to diagnose and perform exceptional scaling and root planning. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively across all age groups, especially pediatrics.
