Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and preventive treatments. Your expertise will help ensure our patients maintain optimal oral health while experiencing a welcoming and comfortable environment. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Maintain accurate and detailed dental records within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like EClinical Works. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and documentation review. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with radiology with current certification to practice. Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinics with a focus on pediatrics preferred. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for documentation accuracy. Familiarity with EMR systems such as EClinical Works for efficient record management. Strong knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy, and dental assisting procedures. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and effectively. Knowledge of medical imaging procedures, vital signs monitoring, and medical records management is highly desirable.
