Job Description
Prior experience working in general dentistry required Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant, privately owned, third generation dental practice. If you are a compassionate, detail-oriented dental hygienist who loves making patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles, then we're looking for YOU to join our friendly, patient-centric dental team ! The ideal candidate must be able to discharge the following responsibilities : Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct initial patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions Assist with chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments or sealants Take and develop dental radiographs using medical imaging equipment while adhering to aseptic techniques Maintain accurate documentation of patient records Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment Review medical records for relevant health information prior to treatment Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times Collaborate with the dental team to improve patient care quality and clinic efficiency The ideal candidate must also have the following
Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state licensing Proficiency with dental office software such as SoftDent or other EMR systems Knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes Hands-on experience with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and anatomical knowledge related to oral health Strong communication skills for effective patient education and team collaboration This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment committed to delivering high-quality dental care while supporting your continued growth within the field.
