You'll conduct preliminary dental exams, help dentists with examinations and procedures, and perform thorough dental cleanings so patients walk out with a smile. This role is perfect for someone who loves to care for people, appreciates a supportive work environment, and loves organization in their life. Compensation:
$62 hourly
DOE Responsibilities:
Remove plaque and apply fluoride or other sealants to prevent cavities and tooth decay Provide post-operative health education to patients so they can take practice good dental care at home after procedures Put patients at ease by talking with them before, during, and after the appointment Take x-ray images of the patients' teeth to help dentists identify any oral health issues like cavities Aid dentists by deliberating the best way to treat a variety of dental disease Keep detailed records of each patient's visit and update their health history Look for signs of gum disease, infections, or cavities to ensure issues are caught early and can be treated
Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of dental safety regulations and HIPAA regulations Possesses a state license to practice dental hygiene 1-2 years of work experience as a dental hygienist Must have at least an associate's degree in dental hygiene; bachelor's degree preferred Capable of standing all day to assist patients Valid CPR certification Seasoned and new graduates are both encouraged to apply!
