Position Overview Stillwater Dental Associates is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. This position is ideal for a hygienist who is passionate about preventive care, enjoys educating patients, and values working collaboratively with a supportive team. You'll play a vital role in helping patients improve and maintain their oral health while delivering an exceptional patient experience. Schedule Monday -
Thursday:
7:00 AM - 4:30 PM Enjoy a consistent four-day workweek with Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off. Key Responsibilities Perform routine dental cleanings and periodontal maintenance. Assess patients' oral health and document clinical findings. Record periodontal charting and update medical and dental histories. Take and expose digital dental radiographs as needed. Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants when indicated. Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and home care techniques. Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment planning. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and office safety protocols. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment. Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients and team members. Support a positive, efficient, and patient-focused clinical environment. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene required. Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the State of Maine. Current Dental Radiology certification/authorization as required by the State of Maine. Current CPR/BLS certification. Excellent communication and patient education skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality patient care.
