Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality preventive dental care, educate patients on oral hygiene, and support the dentist in delivering excellent patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach. Key Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and plaque/calculus removal Conduct oral health assessments and document patient conditions Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) Screen patients for signs of oral diseases, including gingivitis and periodontal disease Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Assist dentists during examinations when needed Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols Maintain dental equipment and operatory cleanliness Qualifications & Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of practice Current CPR/BLS certification Certification to administer local anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and patient care standards Proficiency with dental software Dentrix preferred Skills & Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to educate and motivate patients Compassionate, patient-focused approach Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented mindset Benefits (if applicable) Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
