Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for a full time or part time hygienist to join our relaxed team. We have a great team and office and would like to have someone join us for the long term. We offer 3% retirement match and up to 3 weeks PTO. We offer competitive pay and have awesome patients! Please feel free to reach out! We would be happy to offer part time if full time is not in the cards. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting optimal oral health. The ideal candidate will have experience in both general and pediatric dentistry, be proficient with dental systems such as Dentrix, and possess a strong understanding of HIPAA regulations. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate oral health and identify potential issues. Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth, while adhering to infection control protocols. Review and maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories. Assist in the implementation of preventive dental care strategies tailored to individual patient needs. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Stay updated on advancements in dental practices and technologies to provide the best care possible. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software systems is an asset. Knowledge of medical coding practices related to dental procedures is a plus. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
