Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the highest standards of infection control and dental hygiene practices. This role is essential in promoting oral health and educating patients on preventive care. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with our amazing Dentist and other staff members in a collaborative environment within our dental office. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth. Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments and document findings. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment. Utilize dental software, such as Dentrix, for patient records and scheduling. Provide support in various dental procedures, including assisting the dentist as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of medical histories, treatment plans, and patient progress. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Skills Proficient in infection control practices within a dental office setting. Strong background in patient care with an emphasis on comfort and education. Familiarity with general dentistry procedures and terminology. Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus. Experience working with pediatric patients is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently and independently while maintaining attention to detail.
