Job Description
Help us build the kind of dental practice that people actually enjoy coming to. At Wyoming Dental our practice philosophy is simple. No Judgment. No Lectures. Just Solutions. Many of our patients haven't been to the dentist in years. Some are embarrassed. Some are anxious. Some simply haven't had someone take the time to listen. We believe every patient deserves compassion, honesty, and exceptional care—no matter where they're beginning, and it starts with us. That philosophy isn't just how we treat patients, it also how we treat each other. We've invested in our office, technology, systems, continuing education, and our people because we believe great patient care and a great office starts with a team that enjoys coming to work. Now we're looking for the next person to help us continue building that culture. What You'll Do Hygiene appointments are more than routine cleanings. You'll have the opportunity to: Build lasting relationships with your patients Provide preventive, periodontal, and therapeutic hygiene care Perform periodontal charting, scaling and root planning, and periodontal maintenance Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide Take digital radiographs and intraoral photographs Educate patients in a compassionate, judgment-free way Partner closely with Dr. Matt to identify oral health concerns and help patients understand their treatment options Maintain thorough clinical documentation Provide seamless handoffs to the front office for future appointments and check outs Help create an exceptional patient experience from start to finish Whether you're already comfortable with these skills or excited to continue developing them, we'll support your growth along the way. Who We're Looking For Experience is great. Character and personality are even more important. Whether you're a seasoned hygienist or a recent graduate, we'd love to meet you if you are someone who: Makes patients feel comfortable Loves educating rather than lecturing Enjoys working as part of a team and not as a lone wolf Takes pride in providing excellent clinical care Is dependable, positive, and fun Is confident in identifying potential dental issues Is humble, coachable, and always willing to learn Wants to build long-term relationships with patients We're much more interested in finding the right person and fit than the best resume. Why You'll Love Working Here New patient appointments are seen through the doctor's side, not hygiene. We know trying to cram everything into a single appointment (x-rays, charting, complaints, goals, treatment plan) doesn't provide the best experience for the patient. Patients see Dr. Matt first to get all records and understand goals and needs and treatment plan, and then are scheduled for their dedicated proper hygiene appointment. Supportive, positive, and nonjudgmental team culture. Modern technology and digital workflows. Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your patients' health. A collaborative environment where your knowledge and contributions are valued. Professional growth and continuing development opportunities. Work-life balance with 2-3 days per week , no evenings , no weekends , and workdays ending by 3:00 and 4:00 PM . Compensation & Benefits $48-52/hour (depending on experience and fit) Part-time schedule (2-3 days/week) Preferred schedule: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday Paid Holidays Paid Time Off 401(k) with employer match Continuing education opportunities Modern technology Privately owned practice Supportive doctor and team
