Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your enthusiasm, knowledge, and dedication will help create a welcoming environment that encourages patient trust and satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Take X-rays to help identify any oral health issues. Use an intra oral camera so that the patients can see problem areas. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and other preventive care measures. Assist the dentist in determining the best treatment plan for the patient Maintain accurate electronic health records (Eaglesoft), documenting treatment plans, medical records, and medical coding details. Follow infection prevention protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment and comply with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Monitor and record vital signs, assess patient comfort levels, and provide support throughout dental procedures. Manage dental equipment maintenance, sterilization processes, and infection control procedures to uphold the highest standards of healthcare infection prevention and control expertise. Communicate effectively with patients to address questions about dental care, treatment options, and post-treatment instructions. Efficient time management so that you can stay on schedule. Review treatment plans with the patient and help them get scheduled for their next cleaning as well as for future treatment. Administer local anesthetic for our patients when Dr. Hall needs help. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Proficiency with dental software, our office uses Eaglesoft for managing electronic health records (EHR) and documentation review. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures. Demonstrated ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while adhering to safety standards. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on oral health practices confidently.
Qualifications:

$39.00 - $50.00 per hour
