In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care through comprehensive dental hygiene services, including cleaning, patient education, and assessments. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment dedicated to excellence in dental care. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth and removing plaque, tartar, and stains using ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with infection control protocols Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits Assist with chairside procedures such as applying sealants, fluoride treatments, and assisting during restorative or pediatric dentistry procedures Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix), documenting treatment plans, medical records, and patient interactions clearly and thoroughly Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment in compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting preferred Proficiency with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation and billing Familiarity with dental equipment operation, dental x-ray procedures, and infection control protocols Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and patient education Ability to perform patient care tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and confidentiality Prior experience working with pediatric patients is a plus but not required Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by delivering top-tier dental hygiene services in a vibrant, supportive environment.
