Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for, informed, and confident in their smile. We are seeking a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is passionate about improving patient outcomes through expert care and education. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental examinations to ensure comprehensive care. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs. Capture and review medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Document all patient interactions accurately within Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review medical records and documentation to support accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and medical coding processes. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines. Support patient care by monitoring vital signs, assessing patient comfort levels, and providing post-treatment instructions. Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and emerging best practices in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry to deliver top-tier care. Experience Familiarity with Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and pediatric patient management is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations while demonstrating professionalism and compassion.
