Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs Take and interpret X-rays while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Open Dental Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology standards Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments with strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures Proficiency in Open Dental Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe patient care Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate seamlessly with the dental team Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas such as pediatric dentistry, medical imaging, and infection prevention Join us in delivering outstanding dental care that transforms smiles!
