In this energetic role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help ensure a comfortable, safe, and positive experience for every patient while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs to ensure safe treatment plans Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate recordkeeping in compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for seamless documentation review and updates Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation Hands-on experience with dental assisting, chairside assisting, and infection control procedures Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health and understanding of pediatric dentistry practices is preferred Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to perform patient care with compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail Prior experience in a dental clinic or dental office environment that emphasizes infection control standards Join us to make a difference in patients' lives through exceptional dental care!
