Job Description
Dental Hygienist Are you passionate about helping others maintain their beautiful smiles and overall oral health? We're looking for a friendly and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team! As a key member of our dental practice, you'll play an essential role in providing top-notch care to our patients and ensuring they leave with a smile.
Patient Care:
Greet patients with a warm, welcoming smile. Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and debridement of teeth. Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal examinations. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Apply preventive materials such as fluoride treatments and sealants to teeth. Administer local anesthesia (if certified and allowed by state regulations).Patient Comfort:
Make every effort to create a comfortable and relaxing environment for patients. Address any patient concerns or anxieties with empathy and understanding.Patient Education :
Provide patients with helpful advice on proper brushing, flossing, and other oral hygiene practices. Provide tailored advice on diet and its impact on oral health. Assist dentists during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Work closely with dentist to discuss patient care and treatment plans, and accurately update patient records. Ensure the dental operatory is prepared and cleaned before and after patient appointments.Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to all relevant dental regulations, guidelines, and standards. Follow infection control and occupational health and safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all instruments are sterilized and equipment is properly maintained.Professional Development:
Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices, technologies, and best practices. Engage in continuing education opportunities to enhance professional skills and knowledge.Qualifications:
