Role Description:
This full-time, part-time for expanding practice this fall, M-Sat on-site Dental Hygienist role is based in Canaan, NH. The Dental Hygienist will provide preventive oral care, including dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and patient education on proper hygiene techniques. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, performing dental prophylaxis, assessing for periodontal disease, and supporting the dentist during examinations and treatments. The role also involves documenting clinical findings, maintaining infection control standards, and contributing to a safe, welcoming environment for all patients. The Dental Hygienist will collaborate with the dental team to develop care plans and promote oral health within the community.
Qualifications:
Must be team-oriented and willing to jump in where needed Strong knowledge of dental hygiene care, with the ability to support comprehensive oral health treatment plans. Thrives in a fast paced environment and can multitask effectively Proficiency in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis, including routine cleanings and preventive care procedures. Experience assessing, managing, and educating patients about Periodontal Disease and related conditions. Current state licensure as a Dental Hygienist in New Hampshire and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Commitment to infection control, patient safety, and ethical clinical practice. Effective communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with dental and medical staff. Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. CPR certification required.
