Position Summary As a Dental Hygienist, you will provide preventive dental care and oral health education to infants, children, adolescents, adults, and patients with special healthcare needs. This role focuses on creating a positive, comfortable experience while promoting good oral hygiene habits and supporting overall oral health. Team-building activities and outings Community involvement (local events and parades) Team Field Day / Patient Appreciation Days Office celebrations throughout the year Key Responsibilities Perform prophylaxis treatments, fluoride applications, sealants, and periodontal assessments as appropriate Obtain and review patient medical and dental histories Take and process dental x-rays in accordance with established guidelines Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and preventive care practices Assist in identifying an documenting oral health conditions and communicate findings to the dentist Provide age-appropriate behavior guidance and help ensure a positive patient experience Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation Follow infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols Support the dental team in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting a welcoming environment Qualifications Current Dental Hygiene license Certification in local anesthesia and/or nitrous oxide administration is a plus!
