Our General Dentist practice is looking for a friendly RDH. We are looking for someone who is gentle, thorogh, and great at talking iwth patients of all ages. The hours are Monday-Thursday from 7am-5 pm Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your passion for patient well-being and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that fosters trust and confidence. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort. Assess patient health by measuring vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration; document findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR). Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency. Maintain strict infection prevention protocols through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of dental instruments and equipment. Manage patient records with attention to HIPAA compliance, ensuring confidentiality and accurate documentation of medical history, dental charts, and treatment plans. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Skilled in chairside assisting, including handling dental equipment, taking x-rays, and supporting the dentist during procedures. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs.
