The qualified candidate will have:
3 Years dental hygiene experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Proven multi-tasking ability Professional demeanor Proven leadership qualities Be a New Mexico-licensed Dental Hygienist Be proficient with administering anesthetic for hygiene and doctor patients Experience with an ultrasonic orCavitron DUTIES:
The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Assessment of oral health conditions Review of the health history Oral cancer screening Experience treating periodontal disease Dental charting and consistent perio charting Taking blood pressure and pulse Taking digital X-rays Removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth Applying preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides) Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health Counseling patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health Performing documentation management activities Applying local anesthesia for proceduresRequirements:
- Eaglesoft experience preferred
- Highly motivated and organized
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain productivity in a high volume multi tasked environment
