Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Wednesday and Saturday , 9 - 5. Bilingual preferred - both English and Mandarin Chinese. A minimum of 1 years of experience is preferred however we are open to all experience levels, new grads welcome to apply. Familiarity with Dentrix dental software would be helpful but is not required.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and patient assessment to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a general dentistry setting. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in electronic health records (EHR) systems Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in general dentistry. Proficiency with dental software systems such as Dentrix for documentation review and EHR management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding standards. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and compassionately. Experience with dental assisting tasks such as chairside assisting and managing dental equipment efficiently. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including HIPAA compliance management.
