Job Summary We are a small, busy dental office seeking a dental hygienist for 1 to 2 days per week on MONDAY 8-5 and
THURSDAY 8-5.
We value our hygiene department and look to empower our hygienists to practice at their highest level. To that end, we offer one hour appointments, air polishing therapy with glycine powder, voice activated probing technology, Releaf suction system, and instruments that are routinely cared for and sharpened. In addition, we use Open Dental software and Dexis. Our ideal candidate would be a friendly person who is passionate about dentistry and who has a desire to learn more and expand their skills. The ability to communicate effectively is a must. Our practice mission statement is based on the Golden Rule. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth. Assess patients' oral health by taking vital signs and reviewing medical records. Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides. Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Stay informed about advancements in dental hygiene practices. Requirements Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Familiarity with infection control standards and HIPAA regulations. Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Experience with vital signs assessment and maintaining medical charts. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices.
Pay:
$58.00 - $60.00 per hour
