Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team Thursdays and every other Saturday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices, infection control protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with dentists and other staff members in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry. Assess and record vital signs to monitor patient health. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining good dental health. Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Utilize Dentrix software for patient management, scheduling, and record keeping. Collaborate with dentists in providing exceptional patient care during procedures. Stay informed about advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Skills Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software. Strong knowledge of general dentistry principles and practices. Familiarity with anatomy knowledge relevant to dental hygiene. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and work as part of a team. Ability to assist with various dental procedures while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
