Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic family dental practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. We pride our office in our ability to build long standing relationship with our patients. Our Dental Hygienists have a minimum of 1 hour per patient in order to provide exceptional dental care! In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to perform comprehensive dental cleanings, patient assessments, and education while ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and confident in their dental experience. Duties Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent disease and maintain oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, and vital signs, Take radiographs using digital imaging equipment while adhering to radiation safety standards. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits. Complete chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments and sealants, Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting patient information, treatment details, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations using Dentrix Maintain infection prevention protocols through aseptic techniques, sterilization of dental instruments, and adherence to healthcare infection control standard . Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the respective state or region. Proven experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and medical imaging techniques. Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and patient care documentation review. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance management, medical coding, and electronic health records (EHR) management required. Demonstrated understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, and healthcare infection control expertise. Join us in delivering outstanding dental care!
