Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. Part time to start with potential to be full time. The ideal candidate will provide quality dental care and patient education in a professional and compassionate dental office setting.Duties:
- Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planning, irrigation and laser
- Take digital x-rays
- Conduct patient screenings, oral health assessments, and medical history reviews
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and disease prevention
- Administer fluoride treatments and apply sealants
- Assist dentists during procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental or similar software
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed
- Uphold HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions
Qualifications:
- State licensure as a Dental Hygienist
- Proficiency in Open Dental or similar dental software ideal
- Knowledge of medical coding for billing purposes
- Familiarity with taking vital signs and patient assessment
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control procedures
- Experience working in a dental office environment
- Part time only; Tuesdays, Wednsdays and Saturdays with possibility of additional days This position offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.
