The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and comfort. This position requires a strong commitment to patient assessment, infection control, and effective communication with both patients and team members. We are a family practice, not a corporation. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including oral examinations and medical history reviews. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to maintain optimal oral hygiene. Take X-rays as needed for diagnostic purposes. Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, particularly in pediatrics when necessary. Skills Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software systems. Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and medical imaging practices. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
