Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral health care! In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote healthy smiles. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to empower their ongoing health. Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems) accurately by documenting treatment details, medical records, and medical coding. Maintain infection prevention protocols through aseptic techniques, sterilization of equipment, and adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations. Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management. Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable to effectively care for young patients. Knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and medical imaging procedures. Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including HIPAA compliance management. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, patient education, and team collaboration.
