Overview We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while maintaining proper infection control protocols. Conduct patient assessments by recording vital signs and medical histories to ensure safe treatment planning. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health. Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside support, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix to document treatment details accurately and efficiently. Follow all infection prevention standards, including aseptic techniques and healthcare infection control practices, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Experience Prior experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting is preferred. Proficiency with dental software platforms like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and techniques is a plus. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Experience with dental assisting tasks such as chairside assisting, medical imaging, and maintaining dental equipment. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, education, and team collaboration.
