Job Description
Job Overview We are a privately owned dental office seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! In this pivotal role, you will not only deliver exceptional patient care but also serve as a leader within the hygiene department, guiding and mentoring team members to uphold the highest standards of dental health. We are looking for someone 3-4 days per week (Monday-Thursday) with no late nights! Duties Lead and supervise the dental hygiene team, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, periodontal assessments, and patient education on oral health maintenance Take and interpret dental x-rays and other medical imaging to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Conduct patient assessments including vital signs, medical history review, and medical records documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Maintain strict infection prevention protocols, including aseptic technique and infection control management, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate documentation review, medical coding, and billing support Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state certification Proven experience in general dentistry Demonstrated leadership skills with prior experience supervising or mentoring dental hygiene staff (recommended) Proficiency in dental terminology, dental equipment operation, and medical terminology Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation management Expertise in healthcare infection prevention, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance management Excellent communication skills for client interaction, patient education, and team collaboration Ability to perform detailed patient assessments including vital signs and medical history review Experience with intraoral scanner (itero) recommended, but we can train as well Join us to lead a passionate team dedicated to delivering outstanding dental care!
