Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Capture and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate patient histories. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and adherence to OSHA guidelines. Utilize dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft for documentation review, scheduling, and record keeping. Ensure all clinical areas are prepared with necessary supplies and equipment for efficient patient flow. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Proven experience in general dentistry. Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
