This role is essential in providing high-quality dental care to children, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout their dental visits. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting oral health among young patients. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for pediatric patients. Take Dental X-Rays Educate children and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Apply Fluoride Treatments as needed. Take and record medical history, and dental history of patients. Assist in the diagnosis and treatment planning by providing accurate assessments of oral health. Utilize infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment. Document patient care accurately in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize practice management software for patient management, record keeping, and scheduling. Collaborate with the dentist and the entire team to provide comprehensive care tailored to each child's needs. Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry and dental hygiene practices.
Expectations:
Help others as needed and be able to adjust on the fly as the schedule changes. Willingness to be trained on our systems. Strong Communication Skills to effectively interact with patients and parents. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records. Ability to work well in a team environment. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Experience or training in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required. Knowledge of infection control procedures and protocols. Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and systems relevant to patient care.
