Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, assisting with dental procedures, and supporting the overall hygiene operations within our clinic. You will work closely with the lead hygienist and dental team to ensure patients receive comprehensive dental care in a comfortable and professional environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with dental x-rays, patient education, and maintaining accurate medical records using EMR/EHR systems. Duties Perform patient care procedures including cleaning teeth, scaling, and polishing to promote oral health. Take and develop dental x-rays in accordance with safety protocols. Communicate effectively with patients to explain treatment procedures, oral health instructions, and answer questions related to dental care. Operate and maintain dental equipment ensuring proper functionality and safety standards are met. Educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices and preventive care strategies. Assist in managing medical records accurately using EMR/EHR systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance. Collaborate with the lead hygienist and dental team to deliver seamless patient services. Support the overall workflow of the clinic by adhering to established protocols for patient care and safety. Qualifications Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting. Proficiency in performing dental x-rays and understanding of dental terminology. Familiarity with dental equipment operation and maintenance. Experience with EMR/EHR systems for managing medical records. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Knowledge of dental care best practices and patient education techniques. Ability to operate in cooperation with a lead hygienist and support team members effectively. Certification or licensure as required by state or local regulations. Pay:
$45.50 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 20.0 per week
