Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and patient assessment techniques. The Registered Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in promoting oral health and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote optimal dental health. Assist with medical imaging procedures such as X-rays while maintaining proper aseptic techniques. Document treatment procedures accurately. Maintain infection control standards by adhering to sterilization protocols and aseptic techniques. Review medical records for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records diligently, including documentation review and medical coding when necessary. Ensure a safe clinical environment by following infection control guidelines and maintaining proper documentation. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general setting is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols is essential. Prior exposure to medical coding, documentation review, and medical terminology enhances candidacy. Successful completion of accredited dental hygiene education programs with current licensure required.
