Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) - Full-Time Newport, RI Established Private Practice Are you looking for a friendly, supportive practice where you'll be valued as part of a close-knit team? Our established private dental practice in beautiful Newport, RI is seeking a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. About Our Practice Our office has proudly served the Newport community for more than 40 years. Under new ownership since 2020, we've continued to build a positive, patient-focused culture while investing in our team and practice. Many of our staff members have been with us for over 15 years, creating a welcoming, supportive environment where people enjoy coming to work. Schedule Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM One-hour lunch (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM) One-hour hygiene appointments Compensation & Benefits Starting pay of $40 per hour , with room for growth based on experience and performance 401(k) with 3% employer match 50% employer-paid health insurance Paid continuing education ($200 annual CE allowance) Year-end Bonus Paid Time Off We believe in rewarding our team with meaningful time away from work. Six Paid Holidays (paid regardless of which day of the week they fall): New Year's Day Memorial Day Independence Day (July 4) Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day After one year of employment, you'll also receive: Two weeks of paid vacation One week of paid sick leave Two days of bereavement leave Responsibilities You'll provide comprehensive patient care, including: Routine dental hygiene procedures Periodontal and restorative charting Medical history reviews Digital radiographs and panoramic X-rays as needed Patient education Sterilization Scheduling patients' next appointments Assisting with front office duties when needed, including answering phones and collecting payments We use Dentrix practice management software. What We're Looking For We're searching for someone who is: A licensed Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) CPR certified (required) Friendly, dependable, and a great communicator A positive team player with a willingness to help wherever needed Comfortable building lasting relationships with patients Local anesthesia certification is a plus but not required.
