Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Perform dental hygiene procedures, including dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing
  • Take dental x-rays
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide oral health instructions
  • Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update medical history as necessary
  • Utilize dental practice management systems such as Dentrix, Epic, or Eaglesoft to schedule appointments and manage patient information
  • Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Skills:
  • Valid dental hygiene license in [state]
  • Proficient in using dental practice management systems (e.g., Dentrix, Epic, Eaglesoft)
  • Knowledge of medical coding for dental procedures
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
