Job Description

Tired of being a number in a corporate dental chain — or burning out in a practice that never has your schedule figured out? At Beach Family Dentistry, you'll be the 13th member of a close-knit team where your work is seen, your schedule is respected, and your growth is actually invested in — not just promised in an interview. Sign-On & Referral Bonuses (for full-time hygienists, 32+ hours/week) $2,500 new hire sign-on bonus $1,000 retention bonus at your 1-year anniversary $1,000 referral bonus for every hygienist you refer who gets hired Why hygienists leave their current office for us Monday-Thursday, with your Fridays free — aside from one monthly Friday half-day for team training/meetings, your weekends start Thursday evening. Private practice, not corporate. Doctor-led decisions from Dr. Courtney Suggs, D.M.D. and Dr. Joshua Duffy, D.M.D. — not a private-equity-backed chain calling the shots from a corporate office. You're not selling products. Our focus is patient care and outcomes, not upselling treatment plans to hit a quota. Modern technology that makes your job easier — Open Dental, iTero digital scanning, and DEXIS digital radiography. No outdated film, no clunky software slowing you down. Rated 4.8/5 across 400+ Google reviews — join a team patients already trust. What makes our culture different A close-knit team of 12 (soon to be 13) — hygiene, assisting, and front desk work together, not around each other. Monthly team training gives everyone a chance to grow skills together and stay aligned — not just clinical time with no connection. A structured, positive feedback system that rewards teamwork and a good attitude — team treats and recognition for a great week, not just write-ups when something goes wrong. We're growing (rebranded in 2024 and expanding our patient base), which means more opportunity, not more red tape. Work-life balance, built in Predictable 4-day work week (with one monthly half-day for team training) — no surprise weekend shifts, no full Friday grind. A real lunch break, every day. Paid time off starting at 9 days a year plus accrual, growing to 14+ days after 10 years with us. 9 paid holidays annually. Career growth Strong production environment — you're set up with the tools and patient volume to do meaningful, well-compensated work, not just fill a chair. Monthly training built into the schedule, not squeezed in after hours. Annual performance reviews focused on real career development, not a box to check. Room to grow as the practice grows — active expansion means new opportunities, not a stagnant ceiling. Why hygienists stay 401(k) with safe harbor matching (100% of the first 1% deferred, 50% of the next 5%) and immediate vesting on your own contributions. Free dental care for you and your immediate family (spouse and minor children), no lab fees. QSEHRA health reimbursement to help offset your individual health insurance premiums. Uniforms and lab coats provided annually. A team culture people stay in for years — not one you have to grit your teeth through. What you'll do Patient screenings, radiographs, cleanings, sealants and fluoride treatments, patient education, and (for SC-certified hygienists) infiltration anesthesia under the doctor's supervision. What we're looking for Current SC dental hygiene license, a team-first attitude, and genuine care for patient outcomes.
