The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and comprehensive knowledge of dental hygiene practices. As a key member of our practice, you will be responsible for providing preventive dental services, patient education, and assisting with clinical procedures to promote optimal oral health. Your expertise will contribute to creating a welcoming environment that prioritizes patient comfort and safety while adhering to all regulatory standards. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review, to ensure safe treatment planning. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately while maintaining radiation safety protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to individual needs. Assist dentists with clinical procedures such as cavity fillings, sealants, and other restorative treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review, treatment planning, and medical coding. Maintain infection prevention standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of dental equipment in compliance with healthcare infection control guidelines. Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for efficient record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Experience with pediatric dentistry practices and providing care tailored to children's needs. Expertise in chairside assisting during various dental procedures with a focus on four-handed dentistry techniques. Familiarity with medical imaging equipment and the ability to interpret dental X-rays accurately. Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on oral health practices. Ability to review documentation thoroughly and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
