Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment! Pay is commensurate based on experience. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, ensuring optimal oral health for patients of all ages. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow and patient comfort. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems called Denticon. Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Monitor and maintain accurate and timely inventory of dental hygiene products and supplies. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials. Proven experience in general dentistry preferred. Proficiency with dental software for documentation review and medical coding. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using proper aseptic techniques and understanding of dental assisting protocols. Familiarity with EMR systems, vital signs measurement, medical imaging techniques, and documentation review processes. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach. $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
