Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, assist with patient assessments, and support the overall efficiency of our surgical dental practice. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a positive environment for our patients. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting treatment plans, and procedures performed. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems such as Archy, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience working in general or surgical dentistry environments. Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and interpret medical imaging results effectively. Familiarity with medical coding practices related to dental procedures for accurate documentation and billing purposes. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach. $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
