Full Job Description Responsibilities:
  • Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized recommendations
  • Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
  • Assist the dentist during procedures, including preparing materials and instruments
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Skills:
  • Proficient in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge related to oral health
  • Familiarity with dental software systems such as Open dental
  • Knowledge of Epic electronic health record system is a plus
  • Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
  • Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity for performing precise dental procedures
  • Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform patient assessment
