This role is ideal for recent graduates who are eager to apply their clinical training in a supportive and professional environment. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist with dental procedures, and contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient dental practice. Emphasizing growth and development, this position offers an excellent opportunity to build foundational skills in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry within a collaborative setting. Duties Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments, including patient history review, vital signs measurement, and oral examinations. Provide preventive dental care such as prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, and sealants tailored to patient needs. Assist with dental procedures through four-handed dentistry techniques, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Take and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, while maintaining proper infection control and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on oral health practices, proper brushing and flossing techniques, and the importance of regular dental visits. Document patient interactions accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review medical records for relevant health information to support comprehensive patient assessments and treatment planning. Support pediatric dentistry procedures by adapting communication styles and treatment approaches suitable for children. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols and OSHA standards. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care delivery and efficient office operations. Experience Recent graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program with licensure as a Dental Hygienist in good standing. Prior clinical experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory; strong internship or externship backgrounds are valued. Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and documentation review processes. Knowledge of EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for charting, scheduling, and record management. Basic understanding of anatomy relevant to oral health, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for safe clinical practice. Experience working with pediatric patients or in pediatric dentistry environments is advantageous. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations while demonstrating professionalism and compassion.
